Suzuki U.S.
Amateur National MX Series to Replace RM Cup for 2005
BREA, Calif. (Jan. 26,
2005) – American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced
that the Suzuki U.S. Amateur National MX Series will replace and improve
upon the established RM Cup for 2005. The goal of this all-new
four-round series is to find the best pre-established races in each
region, become title sponsor of the events, offer top-10 contingency for
each class, and give back to the Suzuki customers in a unique and
effective way.
The series will be available for any rider on any bike brand. It will
hit all four corners of the U.S. throughout the year, giving racers more
opportunities to compete in at least one of these prestigious events:
May 27-29, Three Palms Raceway, Conroe, TX; June 24-26, Grattan Raceway,
Belding, MI; Sept. 9-11, Muddy Creek, Blountville, TN; and Sept. 30 –
Oct. 2, AMP National Track, Prairie City OHV, CA.
Two Brother’s Racing will join ASMC in promoting the ever-growing sport
of mini-bike racing and will be on-site at each event with 10
identically prepared Race Tech/Marzocchi backed DR-Z110s for Saturday
night’s Suzuki/Two Brother’s Racing DR-Z Challenge. One of these Suzuki
DR-Z 110s will be given away at each event.
Mastercraft will also join ASMC holding a Suzuki/Mastercraft wakeboard
expedition at select events. Each racetrack either has a lake on or next
to the facility, which makes this possible. These expeditions will
provide the participants an opportunity to try out wakeboarding first
hand and check out what Mastercraft has to offer.
Finally, ASMC will have a presence at each event with all-new Trackside
Support trucks providing free emergency parts and assistance. ASMC also
offers many other on-site activities to ensure that people of all ages
have the best experiences possible at the races.
