Stateline, NV – April 2nd
2005 – In the first major race of the 2005 Supermoto season, Team Two
Brothers Racing Joel Albrecht dominated the 250 class while Steve Drew
scores an impressive third in the 450 class in their season debut at the
Stateline Supermoto Challenge.
For his first time racing a Supermoto
bike, Team Two Brothers Racing's Joel Albrecht proved to be a quick study
riding his KX250F from the fifth row on the grid to the top of the
podium.
“That was awesome” said Albrecht after
the win. “ I really had fun, I felt that every lap I improved and really
started to get a feel for the asphalt – I was trying to just work on the
stuff that Steve (Drew) had been telling me after practice”.
Meanwhile in the 450 class Steve Drew
was making some major improvements of his own. “ It seems like ever
since I got my bikes, it’s been raining and getting track time has been
a little tough – We really learned a lot this weekend and I was really
happy getting my RM-Z450 on the podium in my first race riding a
Suzuki”.
Team Two Brothers Racing will continue
further testing in preparation for the opening round of the AMA
Supermoto Championships series opener May 14-15 at the Orange County
Fairgrounds, Costa Mesa, Calif.
Craig Erion founded two Brothers
