29 Palms Marine Base Motorcycle
Stunt Show
04/26/08
The Few, The Proud, the Xtreme
At 0800 the day was already threatening to be another scorcher in 29
Palms California this past Saturday at “The Few The Proud The XTREME”
motorcycle event. Undaunted, Riders & vendors came out to Victory Field
at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms, to
accomplish their mission: Honor & entertain the TROOPS. The event was
open to the public and by show time, 1100, the field was already filling
up as anxious fans waited to be entertained! By day’s end, the event saw
8,000 in attendance.
Emceed by Stunt Rider Jef Groff, the crowd was awed as Freestyle Street
Riders showed an amazing displayed of man & machine. Performing highly
technical slow speed stunts with a 450 pound street bike & manipulating
their bikes into submission in ways you will never see on the streets.
Stunting their bikes in front of packed grandstands were Jason Britton,
Tony Carbajal, Eric "E-Dub" Whitcomb, and Alex Flores. The crowd
screamed and cheered as the riders opened up a bag of sick tricks
including mobile handstands, high speed stoppies, and smoking tires.
Not to be outdone and braving a steady breeze from out of the desert FMX
riders Jimmie McGuire, Dustin “Whacker” Nowak, Destin Cantrell, and Dan
“Nad” Norris put on a death defying show of ramp-to-ramp jumping, back
flips and seat grabs. All done over 75’ in the air over the crowd.
Two Brothers Racing would like to thank the 29 Palms Marine Corps
Air Ground Combat Center for providing us the opportunity to appear at
the show, talk to everyone about our industry, and show our support for
all the service men and women dedicating themselves to preserving the
freedoms we enjoy.
