2011 Trazk-Daze
Oct. 1-2, 2011 - Johannesburg, South Africa. Springtime in Johannesburg is a sign that the guys from Track-Daze have just finalised all the arrangements to fly the lads from the UK chapter of the California Superbike School to South Africa.
This year the event was run at the Zwartkops Raceway on the 1st & 2nd October. What was expected to be a scorching weekend ended up a bit chilly and there was even rain on the Sunday morning, making the local riders a bit tentative, but it was just another day at the office for the UK lads, heralding from the country that invented rain.
After two intensive days in the classroom and on the track, the students were mentally and physically exhausted, but happy with the new knowledge they had acquired and their improved riding skills.
An event like this is a team effort, and the guys from Track-Daze would like to thank all their sponsors: Yamaha SA for the brand new R1’s, Metzeler for the Racetec tyres, Motul for the oil, TechSpec for the tank Gripsters, Mike at TTMC for prepping the R1’s and being the resident mechanic, Fury Ford for the pace car and Two Brothers Racing for sponsoring the titanium Black Series slip on’s that released the true sound and performance of the crossplane R1 motors.
